The New Mahindra EV: A Game-Changer in Electric Mobility.

 INTRODUCTION 

Electric vehicles (EVs) are not just the future of mobility; they are here. Mahindra, a leader in the automobile industry, has unveiled its latest EV and it is making waves in the world of sustainable transportation. The new Mahindra EV redefines what an electric vehicle can offer by combining cutting-edge technology, striking design and an eco-friendly approach. Let’s explore why this car is being hailed as a game changer in electric mobility.

Mahindra is set to launch two new all-electric SUVs in the Indian market. Dubbed the XEV 9e and BE 6e, these SUVs will be the first in Mahindra's all-new electric origin SUV range to hit the Indian market. The SUVs will sit on Mahindra's all-new INGLO EV platform, which will feature in future Mahindra products.

Like the Mahindra BE 6E, the XEV 9E also gets the same electric motor, which will produce 282 bhp and 380 Nm of torque. It will also be available in RWD configuration with three driving modes - Range, Daily, and Race.

Battery pack options will remain the same as the BE 6E: 79 kWh and 59 kWh. The larger battery pack will offer 656 km of range, and the smaller one will offer 542 km of range. As for charging, with the 175 kW DC fast charger, the XEV 9E can be charged from 20-80 percent in just 20 minutes.

Moving on to the interior design of the XEV 9E, since it is spiritually based on the XUV 700, it boasts of a similar dashboard layout. However, it must be mentioned that there are several new additions that make it more futuristic and improved.

The main attraction is the Wide Cinemascope Cockpit. It boasts of three interconnected 31.24 cm screens: one in front of the driver, which is the digital instrument gauge cluster; another in the middle, which is the information screen; and finally, in front of the front passenger.

As part of the active safety features, the Mahindra XEV 9E will be equipped with ADAS Level 2+. Its ADAS suite will include adaptive cruise control, lane change assist, obstacle detection and more. The XEV 9E's ADAS will use 12 ultrasonic sensors, 5 radars and 6 cameras. It will also get a 360-degree camera.
